Billa 2 has wowed Malaysian audiences and has collected the highest amount for a Tamil film released in 2012 so far. It has bettered other big films like Nanban and 3. According to an authentic box-office portal, till date, Billa 2′s collections stand at a very healthy $906,298 which is more than 5 crores in Indian rupees. Nanban collected around 4.86 crores in Malaysia. 
Ajith’s opening and star power have done the trick yet again. Malaysia also continues to be a huge overseas market for Tamil films. Overall at the Malaysian box-office this year, Billa 2 stands at No.30 in the roll of honour with Hollywood blockbusters like The Avengers and The Amazing Spiderman leading the way.
